This 1,000mi horseback ride has already traveled 500 miles throughout Texas, and is now continuing, to raise awareness towards veterans' issues that contribute to our homeless population through outreach along the route. Along the way, we’ll be meeting with #VeteranOrganizations, community leaders, and the veteran community at large to develop a network of concerned citizens and organizations that will be united in ensuring that RP-1, Texas develops to provide an environment of stability, growth, and healing for our peer group of #veterans. Also, we’re searching for reliable and safe drivers who are experienced with trailers. If that’s you, you may have the opportunity to come along on the trail with our Support Team at your convenience, even if only for a few days. To learn more about the #RideForRallyPoint and view the map for our last 500 miles, please visit www.RP1Texas.org/fundraising.

RP-1, Nation - Thank you all for your continued support, and PLEASE like and share this post with as many folks as you can. VETERANS BUSINESS BATTLE TIMELINE

November 11, 2022- Applications open
Feburary 11, 2023- Applications close
March 11 - 25, 2023, Semi Finalist selected
April 20, 2023- Happy Hour Networking Event for Semi Finalist
April 21, 2023- Welcome Reception & Semi Finalist Pitch
April 22, 2023- Educational panels & Finalist Pitch

Veterans Business Battle serves as a forum to connect veterans with investors, advisers and resources. It's our goal to lead as many veteran-owned businesses to success as possible.

Each year, the event gives invited military veterans an opportunity to pitch business ideas to investors and lenders for a chance to raise capital. During the competition, finalists attend workshops geared toward businesses in early stages of development, have the opportunity to perfect their pitch and receive feedback from professionals, network with potential investors and learn from other entrepreneurial success stories. The competition also attracts a variety of investors, including groups that have earmarked capital specifically for this event.

The Veterans Business Battle began in 2015 as a partnership between Entrepreneurs’ Organization of Houston and Rice Business Veterans Association, a student group at Rice University comprised of military veterans pursuing an MBA degree at Rice University's Jones Graduate School of Business.

We’ve helped veteran-owned businesses nationwide that range from technology firms to retail products. Since 2015, more than $4 million of investment offers have been extended to the finalists and semi-finalists invited to our annual competition weekend, making it the largest veterans-only business competition in the country.
