On January 18, 2025, 501(C)(3) CR38V3 M1ND5/(dba) Creative Mental Wellness is hosting the 2nd Annual MENTAL HEALTH RESOURCES DAY at the Judson Robinson Jr. Community Center (2020 Hermann Drive, Houston, Texas, 77004) from 10 am to 2 pm. The mission of Creative Mental Wellness involves filling in gaps in the mental health care system. To work on that goal, we created MENTAL HEALTH RESOURCES DAY—essentially a mental health fair with vendors & speakers—to help community members learn more about what resources exist in the area for treatment and support for mental & behavioral health & substance use disorder as well as those that help address needs people may have that negatively impact mental health. In 2024, we had speakers like NAMI & SAMHSA that talked about what they do & how they can help people. For 2025, SAMHSA & American Foundation for Suicide Prevention will be speaking, and we’re still securing interesting speakers to help attendees better understand the resources that are available and how they can help. This event is about putting a spotlight on the valuable resources in our community. We prioritize ensuring the community has the best opportunity to learn about as many resources for treatment & support as possible while, simultaneously, providing the space for people who work in mental health/behavioral health/SUD to get to know one another better in hopes of enabling them to collaborate more, pool their resources, and utilize one another's skills via consultations.
